Powerhouse VFX - Week 9 - Iterating & Improving
We are in week 9, which means it's time to get our job done, and only leave time to improve and polish our assets and shots. Almost there! However, we found our flower in shot two is not on a good scale. After composited in the plate, when the actress picked up the flower, her hand almost covered all the petals. I scaled up the petals and re-rendered the flower along with enlarged alpha so that the viewer could see the movement of the petals better in our live-plate integration.

We updated our flower movement for shot 3. I exported a shaped flower model with the correct UV to our team member Thalia, and she copytopoints the flower to the meta arm that aligned movement to get animation. Only a plain model without keyframes on the flower, which is a better way to make the animation smoother, more rotation, and interact with the actress better in our live plate. I worked on the hip file she passed to me, grouped the geometry and assigned textures I built, and output the new render version.

Looking forward to our final clean cut, we are excited and stay tuned!
