Procedural Animation - Expressions
This project is generating a procedurally screen printing machine, rendering in Redshift.

Scene Breakdown
To create my cam geometry, I use Trace Node from an image. It reads the image file and traces to generate faces. The Filters tab activated the whole faces attribute and resampled shapes attribute to increase the distance and reduce the number of overall points. And then add the Polyextrude node to give the depth.
The motion in my machine is based on the wheel(cam) rotation. Put $F by speed to rotate X. Add point at the point that dives the rod to push my slider back and forth.
Transfer rod to the place. Use point expression returns the y component of the point added at the cam. The rod is sliding at some height y1 so that we can compute x1.
Connect squeegee blade to the rod by point expression in transform XYZ.
Refer the length and height of the rod to the top level to adjust the place where my Squeegee Blade is sliding.

Modeling the rest of the geometry, applying UV, and putting on the shader.
Problem Sloving
The machine's upper part goes up and down, powered by the cam passing over the roller.
Since I am not using a big flat box, I also tried Intersect Analysis. However, some intersections still occur.
“Take the profile curve of your rotating object. Transform it, so it is in the same plane as the line. Create a curve with add. Clip it so only one intersection point. Join to get rid of the gap without creating a face.” 4.

I had to limit the points based on distance, not just all the points (based on professor Deborah’s gears project). I use the Clip node to cut my shape in half on the y-axis. Use the Bounding box and change the sizez to 0. Then use Add node to delete geometry but keep the points to keep limiting the points that are in reach.
Thanks for the suggestion from Professor Deborah. The headache is solved!
Add Motion FX and Noise to the camera txyz to create a camera shake. Playback and adjust the noise parameters as needed.
