PowerHouse VFX - Week 3 - Shooting & Fliming
Filming
We sechdualed an equipment rental(Blackmagic Design Ursa Mini Pro), picked up from school, and stored at Hannah's home for convinence. And she checked the location lighting, gave our idea to the actress, and found the potential dress that match our automosiphere before our filming days.
Day 1 - Evening Shot
We met up at 4:30, set up our equipment, and did a couple of random shots to test the camera setting, and DOF, and everything is working. We had a Q-tip standing where the CG flower would be placed to track and composite easier. Since the scene was set under the shadow with not much lighting during the sunset, we called that a day. However, we took multiple shots, tried various camera angles, and had enough plates to pick our preferences.

3D Previsualization Updated
After being at the actual shooting location and determining our camera focal length, I changed the 3D previsualization to line up with our shots better.
Day 2 - Day Lighting
Around the noon in the following day, we stared to film for a different lighting. It was much easier and quicker to set up the equipment compared to the first day. The lighting was very shine and more radiant, but had a lot shadows cast through the leaves on the actress and also caused overexposed. We probably need to have color grading options in the compositing later.
